Costa Rica hosts Pan American Lectureships

November 19, 2011

On October 25, I returned to San José, Costa Rica for the 48th annual Pan American Lectureships. The congregation that I work with in Costa Rica was honored to be selected as the go-to group to help with the organization of the event. About 100 people arrived on Saturday, Oct. 29, so the Costa Rica Mission Team (CRMT) was at the airport from 9 in the morning until 12 at night picking up folks and getting them to the hotel.

The lectureship went really well, with lots of good speakers. I was busy because I was the one person on the CRMT that everyone knew could speak English!! We spent three days in San José and three days in San Carlos at La Fortuna. I think everyone who came was very pleased, because La Fortuna is really beautiful!

After the group left on Nov. 5, I stayed on with some of the brethren until the 8th. It was good to be able to go to church with all the brethren there and spend some good, quality time with the Morales family, with whom I stayed.

The Bee Lady

As you can tell from my site name, I am a beekeeper. Or I should say, at the moment an erstwhile beekeeper. Right now, I have no hives because of my travel schedule.
